What are the Christian denominations that practice speaking in tongues?

I didn’t think Catholics or Baptists did it, but some people seem to think they do.
Are there churches that have different interpretations of what speaking in tongues means?
The concept of "denominations" is contrary to Christ.
He only nominated one way – all MUST be born of the Spirit and you hear the sound thereof with EVERYONE (John 3:6-8). This refers to speaking in tongues – seee Acts 2:4, 33, 39; 10:44-46 etc.
Individual christians should practice this ability, it’s "praying in the Spirit".
Meetings should "practice it, 2 or 3 "gifts" of tongues, each foillowed by interpretation.

Pentecostals. I have never seen Catholics do it – maybe if they are a very Charismatic group.

That’s kind of funny because my ex-MIL is a rabid Catholic and she is convinced that Baptists (like me) speak in tongues and roll around on the floor.
For some reason she didn’t like it when I set her straight. I guess it blew her misconceptions out of the water.

Pentecostals, also known as Assembly of God. There are smaller, lesser-known groups that are similar in the charismatic tradition that also practice it.
I’ve been Baptist all of my life; never heard of any Baptists that practice it.
Certainly there are different ideas about speaking in tongues…this is why some practice it and some don’t, but it’s not simply that they ‘choose’.
Speaking in tongues refers to a gift given to a believer in Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, by which the person will speak in another language they previously had no command of or even of some spiritual esoteric language. The gift was made manifest in the New Testament (book of Acts) for the early Christians to be able to speak and spread the Gospel to people of different languages. I’ve yet to find any spiritual basis for any esoteric purely ’spiritual language’. Paul noted that if there were none present that could translate, there was little purpose in doing it. Most mainline protestants believe that it was a gift used by the early Christians for that time and purpose, so it is not used by them today. Obviously the Pentecostals feel differently; I’ve even heard of some congregations that believe that if you do not speak in tongues, or are not "slain in the spirit", then you are not saved. There is no basis in scripture for that belief, either.
