Why can’t Americans adapt by learning to speak Spanish it is a beautiful language it is their future ?

Most of them are stubborn spoiled brats who are too lazy to do anything.Learning to speak another language is a good thing.It gives you more opportunities in life.There’s nothing wrong with being intelligent, and that’s far from what most of those kind of people are.

Spanish is far from a beautiful language and it is not necessary unless we want to move to a country that Spanish is the dominant language. If people want to immigrate here they need to learn English and do it legally or don’t bother. The future for immigrants is English period.

I don’t think spanish is beautiful…I find it it sounds kind of grating, especially with my ugly american accent! How the hex do you do that thing with the "R"…that’s crazy!!!! But I tell you what I hate too is all these english people who come over here and make us speak their language! When I listen to a phone message I don’t want to push "1" for english! If you want to speak english I say go move to England!
What are we anyway? A bunch of stupid immigrants who can’t make up their own language? I say no way. That’s why I think we should either invent "American" or all learn how to speak native american…or just draw pictures on hides and stuff to communicate what we need to say.
Down with Europe! America rules!

For them it is the supreme insult. How can you expect that they learn the backwards language spoken in "mecsico" ?
They scream, say on the press, the TV, the Internet, in person, etc, etc, that why they have to learn Spanish when everybody MUST learn ENGLISH !
They consider learning something as a waste of time and insulting. Acording to that idea, I imagine they will eliminate schools as well

English (or a reasonable likeness) was chosen as our nation’s official language for commerce and law. Americans and LEGAL immigrants speak English.
No immigration without assimilation.
Air traffic control around the world is done in ENGLISH. If Spanish is so "beautiful" why isn’t it used?

Because you do not go to another country where the official language is different than your own and expect everyone else to cater to you. That is the short answer. The longer one is as follows.
The common language of a country is part of what unifies it. If you move to a country with a common language and refuse to learn it, you put yourself at a disadvantage and you put your children at a disadvantage as well economically, socially, etc. It is fine to keep your cultural tongue in the family and all but you either assimilate to the common culture or you will not be able to advance in society.
Before you claim that there is a growing Hispanic population, I should note that I do not give a DAMN that there are twelve million illegals here who do not have the common decency to learn the language and assimilate like all cultures before them did (including my parents parents on both sides of the family). All those who refuse to do this do is insure that they trap themselves in economic lower class status. It is completely preventable but if they are too stupid to learn the language and assimilate then it is their problem.
Then you have these racist groups like La Raza and MECHA who advocate the United States ceding the western half of the country to Mexico after the latter lost it in a war of their own starting in the mid nineteenth century. Read the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo and learn some history -unfortunately they do not teach history in schools anymore nor do they teach critical thinking skills.
The more I notice Mexico doing next to nothing on their end to prevent their people from crossing the border illegally, the more I think we should have annexed Mexico in the mid nineteenth century during the Mexican-American war. And I would not be opposed to military or economic actions against Mexico as long as this problem continues to be one.

This is an English speaking country. i think everyone who comes here should be required to speak it. why should we americans change for the people coming here. if they want to live here they should have to learn to speak our way.

Yes there will be a big push to make Spanish equal if not the first language by 2050. But the joke will be on those who seek amnesty, chain migration and the Spanish language because by then we will be a bankrupted nation just like most Latin country with the top 1% will run the country and enjoy the riches of the nation, and the last 99% will just like the poor uneducated illegals that not only demand Spanish but will
