Hi All,

My son has a new daycare teacher (its a home daycare) that speaks mainly spanish. She has been teaching my son spanish words. I know that this will be good for him in the long run, but I would rather him wait another year or 2 before he is taught spanish. We speak english only in our house. I just feel like because he is still learning to speak english, the spanish learning should wait. Am I being paranoid? I just don’t want him coming home and pointing at something, and saying what it is in spanish, but not knowing what it is in English. Is it too early for him?

if you would rather him wait, ask her to please use english only around him. She should respect that.
But i dont see anything wrong with it. My 2 1/2 yr old knows just about as much spanish as english. Learning spanish in no way slowed down his english speaking. he’s just going 90 miles an hour in 2 languages instead of one

What made you want to learn?

It’s pretty good although I personally think it needs a little work on the audio side of things.

Essentially, it’s a "visual" course, which works more with pictures rather than sounds. This means that you’ll learn more vocabulary than pronunctuality… which can be good and can be bad.

The fastest and easiest way to learn Spanish, from my experience, is to first talk with someone, chat, speak, etc.
Try to meet girls/boys on the net, and have chat, you can talk about anything and share your phantasms and feelings.
On the net, nobody knows u for real.
You can chat with a woman/man and study ,approve your knowledge.

I learned spanish and I want to actually use it, not as like a it’s my first language or anything, but just a bit. I don’t want my family or people I know to be like "Don’t talk in spanish, your not hispanic, your white. I don’t want to seem like a wannabe because I’m not ,it’s just that I think that other languages are fun to learn and speak. What do you guys think?

As long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, do what you want.

Im pregnant at the time and want to teach my child both spanish and english. My partner speaks English, I speak english and spanish. I heard one parent should speak spanish and the other english at all times..Does anyone know if this works or a better way of doing it??

I think it’s great that your child will be bilingual!!
A friend of mine spoke in both English and Spanish to her child (even when she was still pregnant with her) – and they say that teaching them young is the best time to teach them.
They’ll pick up on it faster – and remember it all their life!

They think that it is the language of "illegal aliens invaders". That sounds like a smart comment. When most of our ancestors have been Immigrants.

There’s nothing wrong with speaking in Spanish….it is beautiful. I am bilingual; both in English and Spanish. Does that make me less of a person? No it does not!!!

Most of them are stubborn spoiled brats who are too lazy to do anything.Learning to speak another language is a good thing.It gives you more opportunities in life.There’s nothing wrong with being intelligent, and that’s far from what most of those kind of people are.

Hola! okay so this video covers some of the adjectives in spanish. REMEMBER!* the endings of the adjectives in spanish change according to what or who youre describing. if its a male the ending would be -o and for a female the ending would be -a. also im not an expert on speaking spanish so naturally im going to have mistakes. oh and i might have an english accent, because my family tells me all the time that i have a bad accent. so i hope you learn something out of this. next video will be some common phrases and then after that i might do some learn to speak english videos. hope you had a great 4th of july, kay thanks bai adriana
