@Kigorusan
*lol* – so we do – each region has its own “grammar” here.
So almost nobody is sure of the correct High German anymore.
At least we use latin alphabet and continue to fill our language up with english words.

@HesseJamez wow, if its even that dificult for a German, you guys should change the language then, otherwise, you might in time just never undersand eachother. But Japanese is pretty hard, I am already in grade six, but there are still many characters that I do not even know, I can hardly read books without understanding a stroke.

German is very far from French, which is a romanic language, but similar to Dutch in vocabulary &grammar. Germans and Dutchmen can likely understand each other .
Germans have 3 word genders (f,m,n) and flexing verbs, adjectives need the correct gender prefix and our word order rules are very complex.
Though I’am German I’d say, it’s a very difficult & irregular language.

@CristinaXLawliet …
@CristinaXLawliet its a wonderful language, but the accents are completely different from English, but perhaps closer to French, and then Dutch, also the feminine and masculine stuff used to confuse me until i found out that both sexes used the same words anyways, besides the fact of the stuff refering to it to be spoken by women.

Hmm, not easy to explain. “Doch” is used in many situations. eg. you can use it in the way of “Yes, I do”
A: “You dont speak english”
B: “Yes, I do!”
A: “Du sprichst kein Englisch”
B: “Doch, Ich spreche English!”

yep, sad but true, german word genders aren’t logical, f.e:
bra = Der Büstenhalter (male!)
skirt = Der Rock (male!)
boobs = Der Busen (male!)
trousers =Die Hose (female!)
bald head = Die Glatze (female!)
Army = Die Armee (female!)

@lalagirly345
you figure out a male word (if no article) by the prefix of the adjective, f.e:
kind man =nettER Mann
kind woman =nettE Frau
kind child = nettES Kind
