What are some online ways to learn french?

I came across rosetta stone but its reallly expensive and it doesn’t teach you how to write. I’m willing to spend some money but not 300 for each level. And I want to learn how to speak, read, and write french. thanks.

Livemocha.com, for learning to read and speak in French.
And Sharedtalk.com, for learning to write/type in French.

Plus, just an extra website that might be of some use, is Interpals.net. It connects you with people in France. Like Sharedtalk.com, only a little different. It can’t hurt to have more than one practice site.

I think it’s worth it IMO, but only if you get 1-5 if you are really serious about learning french:

If you want a program just as good, and similar to Rosetta Stone French, check out:
    http://www.capsulecorp.org/french

It’s $99 – probably the highest quality and affordable software program out there.
