What is the best guitar learning software available?

April 27, 2010 - 5:34 pm 3 Comments

I would love to learn to play guitar, but for now the prices I have seen for a tutor are very unrealistic…
What guitar learning software out there is the best available? Also, how did you learn, and how long did it take you?

I have honestly tried several methods out there. I started out trying to do it on my own with a book then searched the internet for all the free lessons (there are a ton), then tried a DVD lesson becuase I wanted to play like Jimmy Page. And guess what? I learned a lot but didn’t really learn how to play. Everything was all over the place and not structured at all. I also looked at trying a local instructor but I coudln’t afford the prices.

But then I found a online learning method that made learning very easy and even better I could afford it. For the price of one hour of in person instruction I had a years worth of instruction and this was even better since I could go over it as many times as needed.

Why is Pakistan’s official language Urdu, which is spoken by 8% of the population?

April 27, 2010 - 5:34 pm 2 Comments

Over 30 distinct languages are more widely spoken with Punjabi spoken by an estimated 65% of the population.

You are right about 30 languages but the thing is they are regional(local) languages and are not spoken widely in Pakistan. and punjabi is not the spoken by 65% pop,
Urdu is evolved from Persian, Sansikrit, Arabic and English mixed together and it is widely spoken and understood in four countries, India, Pakistan, Afganistan and a bit in BanglaDesh. There are atleast 65 million Urdu speakers worldwide and majority are in southeast asia.
Urdu is National language of Pakistan because it is spoken and understood in every corner of country. 30 or more groups who speek regional mother languages can only communicate to each other via Urdu because they cannt understand other local languages.
As this southeast asia has a rich historical values and it served as a hub in the past centuries, a language was in demand for communication among different cultures and because region was conqoured and ruled by persian, afganis and british so urdu was developed. The word Urdu means Language of Armies .

How do people overcome the fear of speaking in front of a large crowd?

Ok so now one of my jobs is publicly speaking in front of a crowd.I always get so nervous when i have to. What are some tips that can help me.I have to speak in front of a crowd in 2 weeks.Anyone have any suggestions that can help?

Hang out in more social enviroments on your free time, or when with people, if your listener try to be the center and talk a little more. I personally am very shy and quiet but i like it. The best example i can give is you have to be comfortable with what you are doing, for me personally i still dont do crowds well but i have done martial arts for years and i can do a demo in front of millions of people if i had too without and fear becaues im comfortable with my abilities in it due to practice. So the best advice i can give is practice talkin with ppl in more populated social areas, it will be hard not easy but eventually you will get used to it and will be alot easier.

How could American revolutionaries speak of independence and freedom and exclude women, slaves and others out?

How is it possible that they could speak of all these privileges (like freedom and independence) and exclude women, Native Americans, free blacks, and slaves??

English common law distinguishes between "men" — white Anglo-Saxon male Protestants — and "rational creatures" — women, children, Negroes, Turks, Egyptians, Indians, and the like. Jefferson was not being a hypocrite when he wrote that "all men" were created equal. He meant what he said.

A family learning to speak Spanish?

April 27, 2010 - 5:34 pm 3 Comments

Ok so my parents went on some Spanish courses about 4 years ago. Beginners, and then my Dad went on to do the next one up too.
However we all now want to learn the language as best we can, and to refresh the basics too.
So we are going to be spending some time each week learning Spanish at home, as we cannot all go to college. Due to school or work.
Are there any materials, books, tapes, DVD’s that have helped you learn the language?
We are a family of a 16 y/o, 19 y/o, 42 y/o & 47 y/o.
Thanks!

I promise you this will help everyone and with very little effort…
Go to Ebay or something similar and see if you can pick up a copy of Michel Thomas foundation level Spanish. There are 8 discs, all you have to do is listen, no reading writing…. its very good indeed. I listen to it everyday nearly and find it really helpful.

What is the best product to learn French by?

April 27, 2010 - 5:34 pm 5 Comments

I need to learn French, but i need a easy inexpensive way to do it. It doesnt matter how long it takes.

Language classes. I have done them. Love them. Maintenent, je parle francais bien!
You learn from real people, not a machine, and you can ask questions that won’t be answered on your CD rom or whatever.
I don’t know about prices.
But they’re the best. And they are not that hard. French is an easier language than the majority. It’s easier than english.

How do you learn to play guitar and have fun?

April 27, 2010 - 5:34 pm 3 Comments

I love to sing and write songs, but to be successful in any way I will need to learn either guitar or piano, and seeing that I already own a guitar, I hope to learn that. I need suggestions, cuz whenever I pick it up I just get frustrated or bored trying to learn chords. I need help!

You need motivation for sure.

There are many ways.
If you’d like to accomplish it with someone you could
a) Hire a music teacher
b) Enlist the help of someone you know that plays guitar that you know you could get along with.

If you’d like to accomplish it on your own, there are many ways
a) Online. You may have to pay a fee, but you could do it on your own time in your own schedule [[you'd need the motivation to stick to it]]
b) Buy a book..but most likely that’ll bore you
c) Get a video.
d) Figure it out on your own, or with a group of people.

Good luck!

What is the easiest language to learn for English speaking people?

April 27, 2010 - 5:34 pm 36 Comments

I dunno I always had a difficulty in learning languages. I can speak English fleuntly, and can only get to grips with basic French, German and Urdu. I think it has something to do with the masculine and femenine rules, plus the different grammer. I think I could handle a direct word for word language! Anyways what in your opinion was the easiest to learn?

Yes youre right.
In my opinion, english is the hardest to learn if you dont speak it, and if you only speak english, everything else is really hard also.
My friend started with spanish, then moved on to Italian (since theyre so similar), and then went on to learning french :)
its possible but its very difficult
i think spanish is probably the easiest
try learning what ever second language you think you are surrounded by the most (such as Spanish if you live near a spanish community) etc
good luck!
